Wiegand converters were developed for the security market to connect control access equipment like keypads and card readers with Wiegand interface, to other interfaced equipment like the serial port of a computer. The W2X family has an autodetection feature allowing the connection to any standard controller or reader without any previous configuration or setup procedure, this feature speeds up the installation process. With the anodized aluminum enclosure these units are the most robust on the market.

General Purpose I/O Ports
It’s possible to control LED and Beep signals through the W2X’s general-purpose I/O ports. The tamper port is used to monitor tamper signal from readers or controllers, or it can be reconfigured to a general-purpose I/O port.
